Packaging

In our broad range of packaging glues, one can find different hot melt adhesives for packaging and adhesives for special applications such as deep-freeze packaging, straw attachment or anti-slip coating for pallet stabilization.

The packaging industry is one of the biggest industrial sectors.

It includes primary packaging, this is erecting and closing of folding boxes, wrapping paper packaging and secondary packaging, also called end of line packaging (erecting and closing of cases, trays erecting, wrap-around). In our range of packaging glues, there are also adhesives for special applications, such as deep-freeze packaging, straw attachment, anti-slip coating for pallet stabilization.

Beside various EVA based hot melts, we offer newly developed formulations on metallocene polyolefin base with excellent performance characteristics like better adhesion to difficult to bond surfaces, high thermal stability, low density, up to 40% lower consumption, high yield, good heat resistance and cold resistance for deep freeze application (-18 to -40°C). Clean processing and absence of carbonization lead to reduced maintenance work and downtimes on the line and consequently to lower production costs.

Mitol devotes special attention to selection of pure, odourless raw materials with low content of mineral oil. Our food packaging adhesives comply with American FDA regulation 175.105 and the EU regulation 10/2011.

Carefully selected raw materials and advanced adhesive formulations are the guaranty for safe food packaging.
